Peterborough - from an Environment City to the Environment Capital

Peterborough is one of the UK’s four Environment Cities. Now it aspires to be the UK’s Environment Capital: a city acknowledged internationally as a model of how to deliver substantial and sustainable growth to improve the environment and the quality of life for its people and communities.

For Peterborough to move from its current position as an Environment City to the Environment Capital it must become:

• a leading Peterborough
• a proud Peterborough

In support of these aspirations, the various partners within the Greater Peterborough Partnership, including Opportunity Peterborough, Peterborough City Council, Peterborough Environment City Trust, O&H Hampton and others, are developing a comprehensive framework for guiding our work and ensuring a proactive and dynamic approach to our common agenda.
