Cohesion Grant Scheme

    Introduction:

The Cohesion Board of the Greater Peterborough Partnership is making small grants available to local community, faith and voluntary groups across Peterborough to encourage and support positive community interaction and create good community relations.

    Aim:

The key aim of the Cohesion Board grant scheme is to facilitate community groups to develop positive community interaction activities which bring different communities together and promote better understandings.

Cohesion Board has identified the following areas as priorities for 2009-2010:

Applications will be assessed on how well the proposed projects would bring together people from different background and support the priorities of the Cohesion Board on behalf of Greater Peterborough Partnership.

The type of events or activities for which funding can be applied for are community driven, providing a wider variety of opportunities to bring people together. These range from fun days and street parties to cultural festivals, sport, dance, coffee mornings, newsletters, story-telling and open days; spread right across the year.
