Health and Wellbeing Partnership
The purpose of the Health Partnership is to work in partnership in order to deliver significant improvements in the health and well being of the people of Greater Peterborough and in the delivery of health and social care.
Peterborough has good health care and poor health.
Our hospital is one of the first in the country to achieve NHS foundation trust status. Our primary care trust has recently merged with the Council’s adult social care department in order to improve delivery of services.
But male life expectancy in Peterborough is 4.2 years lower than for South Cambridge.
In support of the community strategy the partnership’s current priorities are:
- Working with partners and the public to improve health and well-being
- Improving the health of the most disadvantaged
- Continuously improving the quality of healthcare provision, including reducing needless waits
- Meeting the health needs of a growing population
The Chair of the Health and Wellbeing Partnership is Derek Harris, Vice Chair NHS Peterborough
