The Greater Peterborough Partnership

The Greater Peterborough Partnership (GPP) is the body that unites the many and varied organisations involved in the future development of Peterborough to enable them to work together with a common purpose and a shared vision: a bigger and better Peterborough.

The Board has adopted the following vision for Peterborough and its surrounding villages:

  • a bigger and better Peterborough, the centre of a thriving community of villages and market towns;
  • a city that grows substantially and sustainably, building on its heritage and environment city status;
  • a city that is acknowledged internationally as a model of how to deliver truly sustainable growth in order to improve the overall quality of life of its people, communities and environment.

To deliver that shared vision, the GPP has set out four main priority areas:

  1. Children and Young People.
  2. Building strong and supportive communities and reducing crime.
  3. Helping people to live longer, healthier lives.
  4. Delivering substantial and sustainable growth.

We want to transform Peterborough into a bigger and better place to live, work and study: an ambitious, prosperous, exciting environment city; the city at the heart of a thriving community of villages and market towns. This vision and our priorities are set out in the Community Strategy and in the Local Area Agreement (LAA).
