Our Local Area Agreement (2008 - 2011)
By endorsing the refreshed Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS) on 26 September 2007, the Greater Peterborough Partnership agreed to the long term vision for Peterborough's development.
With this vision in place, work commenced on developing priority areas of work and an underpinning target-led action plan. This action plan is referred to as the 'Local Area Agreement.'
The LAA is organised around four priorities for our area:
- Creating Opportunities - Tackling inequalities
- Creating strong and supportive communities
- Creating the UK's environment capital
- Delivering substantial and truly sustainable growth
Across these priorities we have identified 16 ambitious outcomes which can be viewed here

This summarises the work to develop the LAA, its contents and the arrangements for delivering the priorities and outcomes. Story of Place
The Story of Place supports our LAA by summerising the combination of issues that must be addressed if we are to deliver our Sustainable Community Strategy. It provides the background context and therefore a rationale for the priorities and outcomes contained in the LAA. The story of place was developed from work to gather eviodence during partner and stakeholder workshops in November 2007. Click here to view the Story of Place
